Free Your Mind With Thought And Belief

“I bet you can’t hit that,” my friend said as he pointed to an apple on the ground.  As a twelve year old the “BB” rifle I held in my hands was still a bit large and heavy.  With determination in my face I turned from my friend and lowered the rifle to my waist as I looked toward the apple.  The world around me just went silent as every bit of confidence and experience welled up on the inside of me until it crested in its own internal stillness.  With the rifle resting in my hands at my left hip I shifted my body into position and squeezed the trigger with a “clicking pop”!  The apple on the ground jumped as the tiny “BB” hit it dead center!  My friend let out an “ah” as if he expected me to “miss” the shot.  I stood next to him with a superior poise and just smiled with delight.

Dead-Eyethat’s what my father called me in hopes of gaining a hunting partner.  He was a bit disappointed when I didn’t want to shoot animals with anything but a camera but he still bragged about my ability to hit the target.  While most kids my age were being denied “BB” rifles with the phraseyou’ll shoot your eye outI was being schooled in the art gunmanship.

“Never point a gun at anyoneeven if you think it’s not loaded”.  That was one of the first and most important rules my father repeatedly cited.  Safety was first.  My father taught me exactly how to handle a gun and how not to handle one!  On that cool overcast afternoon in the backyard my friend knew that I was trained and a “good shot” with a gun sight but he wanted to “throw me a curve” and told me that I could not hit the apple from a “waist shot”.

Many times life comes at you with a “put up or shut up” proposition and even though you may have never done something before, you must take action.  There’s no time to study the situation further you just have to make a decision you are willing to live with.  In times like these you never throw caution to the wind but understand that you can call upon your life experience and inner knowing to guide you.  Pull up all of your resources and know-how from within and remember your training and successes.
Just let the world around you go silent, quiet your inner self
andshoot from the hip”!

Five And A Half Feet Above The Ground!

Recently, I went outside with my cats and decided that it would be fun to walk five and a half feet above the ground.  You heard me right.  I went outside and walked five and a half feet above the ground!  The cats loved it!  The neighbors were amazed!  I had the time of my life defying the normal “ground walking” that usually occurs!
I couldn’t see the grass below me while I was performing this magnificent feat because of all the snow that blanketed the landscape but it was exciting and fun to climb over the white dunes.  You see, we had received a heavy snowfall and after the “plows” and “snow blowers” made their rounds there were drifts and piles of snow everywhere.  All I had to do was scale the massive mountains of particulate to walk five and a half feet above the ground.
Even if you live in a warm climate you are at least familiar with the concept of “snow” and you are aware that it is possible to “walk in” and in my case “walk on” snow.  Everything becomes perfectly logical when you understand just what “snow” is and how it behaves in the physical world.  However, when I first made the statement that I walked five and a half feet above the ground you probably thought, “What?  Five and a half feet above the ground!  How is that possible?”
When I added that we had received a heavy snowfall your mind just relaxed and you may have even smiled a little.  I first explained what I did but I didn’t include “how” I did this.  The information that was omitted acted like a missing piece to the puzzle.  Without that insight your mind just spun out of control in logic and you wondered, “How could that be possible?”
On the other hand, when you were able to get that missing piece of insight you just smiled and said, “Of course, it all makes perfect sense now!  It is completely possible to walk five and a half feet above the ground in snow!”
There are many situations in your life where something will seem to be impossible.  Your situation only appears in that light because you are missing a piece to the puzzle.  If you are persistent and trust the process of creation you will find the missing piece to your puzzle and the impossible will suddenly become possible!

The Windfall

  The Windfall

Have you ever had people in your situation that just resist you at every turn and it is difficult to get these people out of your head and thinking?   These people are probably triggering a contrary belief that is deeply embedded in your subconscious.
Stop your mind for a moment and then just imagine that some incredible windfall of money has come to you from a very rich Prince that just picked your name out of the phone book.  After the shock wears off you realize that you have so much money from this person that you can’t even count it!  You are “set” for life and you will have to hire a team of people just to keep track of all of the money that is constantly coming in!
Then imagine the people in your life that are resisting you and just decide to give each of them a new car and a new big screen TV.  They don’t deserve it but let that thought go and just imagine their surprise when a dealership delivers a car to their house and a truck pulls up with a state of the art big screen TV!  Feel the luxurious and extravagant feelings and see how happy they are to receive a gift that they don’t really deserve. Just be happy for them.
By really “getting into” this sort of exercise you are removing your thinking from the resistance that these folks are posing to you and you are switching to positive emotions of abundance and giving to all without restraint!
Try this a few times and see if people around you don’t start acting differently toward you.  I think you will be surprised that your “imaginary gifts” will start to make people around you act like you have already given them something that they love and value.
After I wrote this I had several people come to my door and bring me gifts!  These were people who would not even speak to me under normal circumstances but my “imaginary gifts” got through to them on a level that I could have never “talked my way into” even if I had tried!
You can literally write the script of your life by choosing what you allow yourself to think about and what you choose to focus on. If you discover contrary and unproductive beliefs then you can change these by identifying and redefining those beliefs by your thinking. When you find and face the fears that cloud your thinking you can re-frame your world and bring about the changes and desires that will bring you positive and prosperous relief!
